Eventfuly (Pty) Ltd ("Eventfuly", "we", "us" or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard the personal information of visitors to our website and persons who join our waiting list, and is issued in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").

For purposes of POPIA, Eventfuly (Pty) Ltd is the Responsible Party in respect of the personal information described in this Policy.

2. Information we collect
Through the Website, we collect the following categories of personal information:

- Sign-up classification — your indication of whether you are joining as a vendor or as a person planning an event.
- Technical information — internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited and time spent on the Website, collected automatically through standard server logs and any analytics tools we may deploy.
- Communications — the content of any messages or correspondence you send to us, including replies to our email communications.
We do not knowingly collect special personal information (such as health, biometric, religious, political or financial information) through the Website.

We process your personal information for the following purposes:
- To register and maintain your place on our waiting list.

5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your personal information with the following categories of recipients, each of whom acts as our Operator under POPIA and is contractually required to protect your information:
- Email service providers — for the delivery of transactional and marketing communications, including MailerLite Limited.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — for the operation of the Website, including Vercel Inc.
- Analytics and product tools — to the extent we deploy such tools to understand Website usage.
- Professional advisers — including legal, accounting and audit professionals, where reasonably required.
- Regulators and authorities — where required by law or in connection with the exercise or defence of legal claims.
6. Cross-border transfers
Certain of our Operators, including MailerLite Limited (incorporated in Ireland) and Vercel Inc. (incorporated in the United States), are located outside the Republic of South Africa. In transferring your personal information to such Operators, we comply with section 72 of POPIA by ensuring that the recipient is subject to a law, binding corporate rules or binding agreement which provides an adequate level of protection that effectively upholds principles for reasonable processing of personal information substantially similar to those in POPIA.
7. Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Policy, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Where you have joined our waiting list, we will retain your contact information until you request its deletion or until we determine, acting reasonably, that the information is no longer relevant to our service.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit, restricted access to systems containing personal information, and contractual security obligations imposed on our Operators.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is, however, completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.

Subject to the provisions of POPIA, you have the right to:
- Request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you.
- Request access to such personal information.
- Request the correction, destruction or deletion of your personal information.
- Object to the processing of your personal information.
